⑴ has affectionately been called a "little shit," but would remind he's your little shit. friendly to nearly everyone he meets, jiwon is a hard guy to dislike. smothering only to his sister, it's all out of love.
⑵ as per sisterly influence, he's obsessed with video games. more console than pc, he won't argue with anyone about #pcmasterrace. he knows. currently in a relationship with dragon age: inquisition.
⑶ part time student, part time food delivery boy. work pays the bills while he's studying international business, but he doesn't know what he'll do with it, but he likes to talk. in all his deliveries, he leaves small notes with a generic compliment. "wow, great smile today!" "you've worked hard and deserve this burrito."
⑷ call him nate, call him ji, call him yours. he's a flirt and will gross anyone out as such. man. woman. doesn't matter. even with his flirtatious personality, he can quickly become cold, an icy juxtaposition to his friendly exterior.
⑸ family is top importance. his sister is one of the most important people in his life. messing with her is messing with him. losing his father while young, his step dad has been the father jiwon always needed. supportive in all his weird endeavors, jiwon's mother pushes him when his laziness peaks. he loves his family. loyal to a fault.
⑹ struggled a lot when he moved to korea with imji. he was fluent enough in korean, but his accent, along with the culture shock, only made him more out to be an outcast. for nearly a year, he was a hermit and mild depression kept him from doing anything except for work and sometimes school. academic probation can change a man, sending him back stateside, but now jiwon is looking ahead with a clear mind.
⑺ plays the violin surprisingly well. will serenade anyone who is willing with an amazing rendition of twinkle twinkle little star. listens to mostly hip hop (more of sisterly influence) but keeps a lot of classical on his phone.
⑻ english is his primary first language. korean is second. tried learning spanish in high school, but he skated by cheating off one of his friends the entire time. he knows chinese or japanese are the two languages he should learn, but he hasn't enrolled in either one. in all honesty, he enrolled in korean for an easy pass.
⑼ one of the main reasons he took the food delivery job was because he had a bike. it soon turned into he was able to get free food to bring home, cutting down on living costs. win-win. he blames his frugality on his sister.
⑽ has a not so secret passion with all things marvel. movies. comics. games. you name it, he likely has it. it's something he isn't ashamed of in the slightest. captain america for life.

who? a lover, not a fighter, jiwon will not be against obnoxiously blowing raspberries against your cheek until he gets his way. or, you know, sometimes he'll talk things out like a rational human being. occasionally will settle disputes through a trainer battle.

what? pokemon and comics. he has an extensive collection of both. an uncle was the one who got him his first comic book and since he was a kid, he hasn't looked back.

when? surrounded by friends or playing a good video game are only the start of when jiwon feels like himself. he's a bit of a loner, content with a controller in his hand and using a headset to talk to people all over the world.

where? currently pays most of his bills from his refund check from university and working as a delivery boy for local food businesses. secretly, he wants to do something in game design or voice acting. but, due to his family obligations, he'll likely do something with his current major of internaional business.

why?

how? jiwon is very assertive. while he doesn't like to be a leader type, if the situation calls for it, he'll step up to the plate. he's also not afraid to ask for help when he needs it, whether it be emotional, physical, or even financial.

jiwon grew up afraid of the water. it wasn't until his step-dad (after years of coaxing) convinced him that the ocean was like a big bathtub. a large, dirty, full of dangerous life bathtub. after the convincing, jiwon's step-dad convinced him to watch jaws. sometimes his step-dad can be hilariously cruel.

jiwon grew up loving disney. the lion king and aladdin are his favorites, the songs some of his favorite to sing at noraebang. up until he moved to korea with his sister, he would go several times a year to disneyland. most people were convinced he would do something with the company.

school was something jiwon was good at until late high school. ap courses and pressure for university came down on him hard. harsh realities of adulthood and a steady stream of low b's to high a's kept him barely in his parents' good graces.

seoul was a game changer. jiwon didn't think he'd ever fit in. sadly, he didn't and packed his things and headed home to los angeles.

his job delivering food wasn't something he applied for, but instead was stopped one day by a guy whose bicycle was stolen. "help a man out," was all jiwon was offered before slinging his backpack clear across his back and holding a food warmer at the handlebars. since getting the job, he's added a nice basket, one he can remove.
